Janet Leber Cartasegna brings over eighteen years of proven experience in retail and channel marketing to her role as Vice President of Metric Marketing Group. She began her career in 1984 at Intel in Original Equipment Manufacturer sales and marketing and managed the first Intel worldwide sales campaign for system products. Her efforts garnered the prestigious Intel Achievement Award.
Janet then defined and developed Intel’s Software Retail Program to promote Intel’s Pentium(R) processor. This involved branding campaigns, retail merchandising and electronic marketing programs for national retail clients such as Egghead Software and Software Etc./Barnes and Noble.
Janet provided the creative program management for Intel’s move into consumer products including the launch of the Intel Create & Share(TM) Camera Pack and the Intel Intercast(TM) Viewer.
Working in Intel corporate marketing, she developed and implemented comprehensive communications strategies for new networking products and wireless peripherals. She defined and developed innovative retailer packages including advertising, retail merchandising, product websites and end user literature which became standards for these vital channels.
As Intel recognized the need to have a greater presence in education, Janet was tapped to lead the execution of a multi-faceted strategic plan requiring the integration of all internal communications groups, external focus group feedback, corporate identity and branding. This culminated in the design of a world class education site for the corporation.
Janet received her BBA in Marketing/Management From the University of Portland, Portland, Oregon in 1983.
Her community involvement includes work with the following organizations in Portland, Oregon where she resides with her family: The Red Cross, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, St. John Fisher Parish and School, Catholic Youth Organization, Portland Jewish Academy, Southwest Portland Little League and the Portland Golf Club.
