Looks are deceiving. I am well spoken and wear high heels. But I grew up in Montana where I learned how to ride, fish and spit the length of a pickup truck. On a ranch you learn discipline, self reliance and problem solving. It was good practice for my first career, working for what is known as “the Marines” of high tech. There we learned you were only as good as your last basket and to be paranoid about the competition.
I love the thrill of the hunt. I love learning about different markets and considering the art of the possible. That is where I shine; to brainstorm a new marketing program or approach. Nothing beats putting together a creative strategy that brings our clients or sponsors recognition, new business or great PR. There’s no better way to prove that marketing adds value.
I may wear heels, but I still have my cowboy boots.

I pride myself in getting the job done. I really do believe that there is a solution to every problem if you
have the right approach. Needless to say, I heartily embrace the old adage that “you can go over the
fence, under the fence, around the fence or through the fence.” And, if that doesn’t work, “you remove
the fence.”
I was raised by an electrical engineer. In my youth, the ability to simplify complex technical concepts to
comprehend family conversations became second nature to me. It really was a matter of pure survival
and the only way to get “through the fence.” That skill has paid off. You can actually make an entire
career out of understanding multifaceted ideas and effectively communicating them to non-technical
audiences, or breaking them down into manageable components to implement an “off the charts”
marketing program.
My experience runs wide. At Metric Marketing Group, I enjoy building websites, researching trends,
managing mega-programs, preparing client content and wading through analytics. It’s fun for me.
Maybe all of that engineering exposure has finally rubbed off. Who would have guessed?

Do you know that a sub-chapter S corporation can be set up in seven business days? We do! In 2006, we saw an opportunity to provide consulting services with the downturn of the economy and the out-sourcing trend that followed. And, we had to act fast because our first potential corporate client was waiting in the wings. So, on September 8th we petitioned for Articles of Incorporation. On September 10th we moved into our offices. And, on September 15th we landed the client. Okay, that’s not exactly the way most companies get established…but we’re not like most companies....
